December what's in store?
Snow falls outside the darkened door
We won't see the ground for 7 months more
I can feel everything slowing down
The days are getting shorter now
And my Civic won't even get me around
Don't you think we've had enough this year?
Wisconsin is filled up with Christmas cheer
And I wait by the phone wishing that I could hear your voice
Oh
Will you dance with me in the snow?
We can fumble around
With our snow boots on
Oo
Will you stay warm? Will you stay true?
At least until Christmas ends?
I can't be alone again
No I can't
The tree farm's too expensive
So I bought one from a Boy Scout in the parking lot
Of the Benjamin Franklin in downtown Cadott
Now I guess I'll trim it all myself
The ornaments won't hang themselves
But what's the use when there's nobody else
If you don't go and open all your gifts
As fast as you did as a little kid
It won't feel as anticlimactic as it is
Oh
Will you dance with me in the snow?
We can fumble around
With our snow boots on
Oo
Will you stay warm? Will you stay true?
At least until Christmas ends?
I can't be alone again
No I can't
