Hey, Iâm calling because I thought of you. I saw your parents at the annual Christmas tree lighting thing the other night. It made me remember how we used to roll our eyes at that whole deal. We thought it felt like some fake Hallmark Christmas movie type shit, but it really was magical. It even snowed a little at the end. I couldnât help but notice that you didnât come home. You always come home around Christmas the see your family. Look, I know we left things in kind of a weird place but being back here and not having you around is really kinda messing me up. And if youâre not having Christmas with your family then whose family are you having Christmas with? Is it a new person? Have you moved on from me so fast that youâre already having Christmas with someone elseâs family? Christmas is supposed to be ours. Itâs supposed to be you and me. Itâs us. Itâs always been us. Iâm back here trying to figure out what Christmas even means to me without you in my life and youâve already moved on. This is just like you. This is exactly like you. Of course you would do this.
